Dead but still discovering.... English 101 fails.

January 12, 2019 Dead, but still reporting.... " 8 hr 12 min ago Shotgun found at Gordon home is similar to one used in Closs murders From CNN's Dave Alsup Authorities found a shotgun during their investigation that is “consistent with the gun used" in the murders of James and Denise Closs, Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said. A shotgun was used to shoot a door at the Closs home in October so the suspect could gain entry, Fitzgerald said. Authorities  found James and Denise Closs dead  in the home on Oct. 15. At that time, they also discovered that their daughter Jayme was missing. Fitzgerald said authorities recovered the shotgun and other guns at the arrest site in Gordon, Wisconsin." As we continue with English 101, how is it someone can be dead and also report their daughter missing?

How to Succeed in Law School

Most smart parents/schools require their children to study Latin and Greek: Why? Because that teaches them about past past perfect, past perfect, past, present, etc. And ultimately that teaches them about law: It teaches them about intention and fact. I have this. I am I had this. I was I would have had this. I would have been. I might have had this. I might have been. I might have this. I might be I will have this. I will be. That's six declensions. In Russian, there are also six.  So, Russian, Latin, Greek--- same diff. Six declensions.

How to flunk American English, and also work at Fox News:

Article in Fox News; 1/3/2019, by  y  Louis Casiano  | Fox News Mr, Casiano wrote: "Authorities said Georgopoulos moved a bicycle rack that had posted warnings t hat the area was restricted just after midnight." I never knew a bicycle rack could post a warning, nevermind be so specific about posting that it was "restricted" after midnight, but given this is Washington, anything could happen. Given President Trump has been able to describe a wall that doesn't exist (ten feet, folks!) which Fox News so fabulously reiterated, at Fox News who cares if things are impossible, so long as people are buying what they write.

Below is a post from News 13: 1. No date is provided, so Tuesday could have been January 1, 2019, or the prior Tuesday: December  25, 2018. The first paragraph has a very very strange comma--totally misplaced. The writer finalizes the posting writing that the 2 children, ages 8 years old and 2 mos, were "unharmed". How is it possible to be an 8 year old or a 2 month year old and experience the death/lack of your mother and be "unharmed"? What idiot wrote this article? E.M.
